Upcoming Events

Read about our upcoming events at St Mary’s with Holy Apostles:

Church Office Change Access to the church office has changed. Instead of coming into the main vestibule and using the buzzer in the corner you can now use the white double doors around the corner on Auborough Street. CCTV and intercom have been fitted so Ian in the office can let you in. For those of us with dodgy knees the benefit is that there are no stairs to negotiate.

Friends of St Mary’s Tea Party. On Saturday, 28th July the Friends of St Mary’s are organising a Tea Party in the church grounds from 2.00pm till 4.00pm. If you are able to contribute cakes or scones for the refreshments, please bring them to church by 1.00pm on the day. Any donations will be most gratefully received. Also, any items which could be sold on our bric-a-brac stall or jewellery stall would also be most welcome. Any items can be left at church marked for the attention of The Friends. All money raised by The Friends goes towards the upkeep of the fabric of St Mary’s, so do please come along to the Tea Party and support this vital work.

Hospitality Tours at St Mary’s As part of the hospitality season, there will be a conducted tour of this historic church each Thursday at 10.15am, through the summer months (except July 26th). For more information contact Ian Shimmin at the church office (500541).

Small Groups. Home groups, and Tuesday Evening Worship, are places where we encourage each other in developing the life of Jesus in ourselves and in our church. We can explore how the Bible applies in our daily lives and ask questions in a way that isn’t possible within a Sunday service, as well as developing quality relationships with each other. It is really valuable for every church member to belong to such a group. If you would like to know more please call the church office (500541). Read more.
