Youth:
Holy Disorder Youth Group
Our church youth group is affectionately known as Holy D; we meet most Sunday evenings during term time. Holy D consists of two sessions; the first is for 11 to 14’s from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm. The second session is from 6:15 pm – 8:00 pm for 14 – 18’s.
The first group usually starts with an activity for about half an hour followed by some form of teaching around Christian beliefs and Christian living. The activities are wide ranging from making and painting to five-a-side or cooking.
6 – 6:30 is ‘toasty time’ when some form of a snack is provided; this can be anything from toasties to pancakes to hot dogs. Toasty time is also the changeover between the group sessions.
The second or older group start with a snack and take part in the activity if desired. From 7:00 pm we have the input session, this could be discussion on any contemporary issue facing group members in relation to Christian faith or Bible study or occasionally we see where the Spirit leads us – these have proven to be some of the deepest and best discussions.
We also get out occasionally a favourite being Laser Zone.
At Holy D we are more than friends, we are brothers and sisters growing, learning playing and praying together.
