The object of The Friends of St Mary’s Church is to help preserve the fabric of our wonderful medieval church. This work is of real benefit to the Church Council, to church members, to our many visitors and to future generations.
Over the years The Friends have raised money for many projects and repairs, including provision of the refreshment area; pew runners and kneelers; window grilles; refurbishment of the church tower; renewal of the south transept roof; and, the re-lettering of the chancel arch.
We shall be concentrating our fund-raising efforts this year on the stones of St Mary’s in need of repair.
Membership of the Friends is open to all at £10 per annum or £50 for life membership, and we would like more people to help us to preserve our historic medieval church for future generations to appreciate and worship there. Please contact our Church Administrator on 01723 500541 if you would like to join the Friends.
